Writers at Wheyrigg

Friday, May 27thThe Lost Book of Ulverston

Mike and Connie Jensen, the editor and publisher of this extraordinary novel, will tell the story of how a small masterpiece lay hidden and jumbled for over twenty years, to be brought to Cumbria in two battered shopping bags, and finally published to general acclaim by Trifolium Books UK

Tickets: £5.00 and £4.00 for SA members

Writers at Wheyrigg has been a big part of Solway Arts' repertoire of events over the years. Recently we have tended to feature local writers, as festivals such as Words by the Water grab the big names. Last Friday's event was one such. The small but enthusiastic audience listened to Shirley and Irvine with great enjoyment, enhanced by our local knowledge.
